Study Permit

Canada has one of the top education systems in the world. Every year international students across the globe choose Canada as their destination to further pursue their studies.

A study permit is a document issued by the Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to international students, allowing them to study in Canada for a given time. A student permit applicant must:

• Satisfy an officer that you will leave Canada at the end of your studies
• Have a letter of acceptance from a designated educational institution (DLI)
• Proof of funds for tuition fees and living expenses for yourself and accompanying family members.
• Be law-abiding and have no record of criminal activity
• Be in good health (complete a medical examination, if required
• If you acquire a study permit, a family member can accompany you to Canada by obtaining a study permit or work permit.
