Business Visitor

What it is
Business visitor status lets you come to Canada for international business without a work permit, as long as you aren't entering the Canadian job market. Your main income and place of business stay outside Canada.
Who is eligible
Typical business visitor activities include:
- Meetings, conferences, trade shows and contract negotiations
- Buying Canadian goods or services for a foreign business
- Training from a Canadian parent or branch company
- After-sales service or repairs under a warranty or sales agreement
You still need a visitor visa or eTA, depending on your nationality, and stays are usually up to six months. Bring an invitation letter, a support letter from your employer and a schedule of your activities.
